About
I am a 62 year old Hobbyist from SE Texas. My interest is wildlife photography first, especially birds. I also do a few landscape and travel photographs. All of the photos on this blog were taken by and belong to me unless stated otherwise. Reblogging with proper credit is encouraged.
This makes me feel really old. I took it from an elevated platform on a job site about 10 miles from downtown Houston. That squatty little building dead center is the “Humble Building”. Completed in 1963, it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi at that time. In 1962 I checked the construction progress everyday at recess from the school yard at Cleveland Elementary, a few miles west of downtown. Sometimes on Sunday’s my dad would take us for a ride downtown to check it out up close. During the 80’s construction boom, I remember feeling a little sad when those other giant buildings shot up past it.  I just happened to look up at this view today and all those memories came flooding back.  :)
